SEGURANÇA PÚBLICA E OS DIREITOS HUMANOS: ATIVIDADE POLICIAL

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the growing violence and some of its causes, approaching scenarios in which Human Rights distance themselves from social reality, when in different ways there are cases of increased violence, not only on the part of the “marginalized” citizen, as well as such as the participation of public security agents themselves in major violent incidents. It also explains the duty that police officers have towards society, so that they must act as guarantors of intrinsic rights to the dignity of the human person. It seeks to better understand the social reality, adapting thoughts of change in the organizational form of the police itself, as a support for possible change.
